Creating Document Templates

Feature Purpose

At Lickly, we understand that repetitive processes are not fun. In fact, we aim to create features that help you work smarter, not harder. That's why we've created Document Templates so you can simply update your most frequently used documents to meet the needs of every influencer agreement or creative brief in every campaign! Sounds like a great way to save time on Influencer Outreach right? Right! So let's get started with templates!

Step-by-Step Process

  1. After logging in, you will land on your campaign list page
  2. Click on the campaign where you would like to start your outreach
  3. Click on Influencers in the sub-navigation
  4. Click on the influencer you would like to send the document to
  5. Click on Contracting in the left side vertical navigation
  6. At the top of the page, you'll have integration options for DocuSign and Google Docs.
    • You will need to connect a Google Docs account in order to upload an existing document in Doc, Doc X or PDF format.
  7. In the upper right corner, you'll see a Create Document dropdown with 5 options:
    • Mutual NDA
    • Unilateral NDA
    • Creative Brief
    • Agreement
    • Upload Agreement
  8. The document "type" will be saved to your document library, so you can filter based on document type when searching for a specific document
  9. When creating an NDA, Creative Brief or Agreement, you'll have the option to create your document from scratch using the in-platform editor, or paste in from any  resource outside of the available integrations.
  10. The in-platform editor has robust options to add to your document, including the ability to highlight sections, include signature fields, and insert images and hyperlinks.
  11. Once you've completed editing your document, you can save it as a template by clicking the Save button in the top right corner.
  12. Templates will be saved at an account level, so they'll be accessible in Outreach for all your new, and past campaigns.
  13. Once a template is saved, it will appear in the Templates list below the contracting integrations.
  14. You will also be able to view which influencers have been sent the template, spanning across all campaigns.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I modify a template to send?

There's no right or wrong order to either creating a document first and turning it into a template, or templating first and then personalizing later! But if you have your template saved, simply click on the influencer you would like to send the document to, and choose either the Creative Brief or Establish NDA icon at the top of the message composer. From here, you should see your template based on its type under the Existing Templates section with the option to click Use. This will open the template allowing you to edit the sections that need personalization, and when complete, click Send in the top right corner.

How do I connect to the available integrations?

Great question, this article goes through more details about our available contracting integrations and how they work. However, if you do not have a Google or DocuSign account, you will have to sign up outside of the platform. Please note, it is not mandatory to connect the integrations since we have our own in-platform editor available. You can create new documents by following the workflow above. While saving them as a template is a helpful feature for future use cases, you can also use the same process for sending one-off documents.
