Composing Outreach Emails

Feature Purpose

Once you have approved or recommended influencers, you can begin the outreach process to align on deliverables and timelines. Sending the first outreach email is a great way to gauge their interest with the opportunity, while following up with contracts, a creative brief and a campaign schedule. To ensure the rest of the communication between you and the influencer goes smoothly, let's pinpoint a few key items that will make the back and forth a breeze.

Step-by-Step Process

  1. After logging in, you will land on your campaign list page
  2. Click on the campaign where you would like to start your outreach
  3. Click on Collaborations in the sub-navigation
  4. Click on the influencer within the list that you would like to contact, or click on the Group Message button in the upper right corner of the screen
  5. With either option, the influencer's email may or may not automatically populate, this depends on whether the influencer provides it publicly.
  6. If it is not available automatically, you can add their email directly in the "Email To" field.
  7. Fill out the rest of the fields as you would just like a regular email and when you're ready, click the Send button in the bottom right of the composer.
  8. On the right side of the screen, you can view Pricing and Budget calculators, as well as keeping track of all Documents and Deliverables and keep internal notes if needed. Simply click on the icons to toggle the visibility of each.
  9. Finally, once the influencer has agreed to proceed with your proposal, you can use the Accept or Reject buttons in the top right corner to proceed with requesting deliverables

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I attach an NDA in the first step of outreach?

You absolutely can, you can attach NDAs, contracts or any other documents by using the attachment option at the bottom of the message composer. This can also be used at any stage of the conversation to send external documents, that may not need to be saved as templates in the Documents tab. If you want to send a Document from Templates in your first message, simply start the thread with an initial message, and then navigate to Documents to send the document shortly after.

Can I save templates to reuse for all my outreach emails?

We don't currently save email templates, only Document templates, but if you have a series of emails you often use, we recommended keeping them handy — especially for if we do roll out this feature soon. If you are looking for some templates to get started, check out our options here!
