Sending a Group Outreach Message

Let's face it, the best way to approach a big task is to work smarter not harder, right? That's why we created the Group Message option for sending one message to multiple influencers. It's a great way to start the outreach process which is typically a very repetitive email to send. However, when you use the Group Message function you can take advantage of using a macro to automatically update the influencer's name to make it look like you're sending them a direct email. But don't worry, the other influencers won't be copied on the thread so all replies can be handled individually. Ready to try out the Group Message option?
Step-by-Step Process
- After logging in, you will land on your campaign list page
- Click on the campaign where you would like to start your outreach
- Click on Influencers in the sub-navigation
- If you haven't already approved or recommended influencers, you can do so by following these steps.
- Click on the Group Message button in the upper right corner
- A dialogue box will appear with two sections: With Email and Without Email
- You can click on the filter at the top of the section to select only those with or without emails
- Click on the checkbox next to Expand All if you would like to view or add the emails for each influencer you would like to reach
- Alternatively, you can click on each influencer you would like to reach, which will expand their contact details with the option to edit or add the appropriate email
- You can also provide multiple emails for one influencer, incase they have a Talent Manager or an Agent.
- Once all your contact details are set, ensure your desired influencers are selected, and click update
- The section will update to the email composer where you can craft your outreach message, with the option of using the {name} macro to populate the influencer's handle upon send
- Once your message is sent, the message will appear in the conversation view for each influencer as if you sent them all individual messages
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I send more than one Group Message in a campaign?
Yes, you can send multiple group messages in one campaign, but they need to be to different influencers each time. Currently, an influencer can only be part of one group message per campaign. Once you send a group message to an influencer, they will appear as Reached the next time you open the Group Message section and you won't be able to select them to be part of another group message.
Why do my influencer's not have emails listed?
We rely on an API to fetch the influencer email addresses, so it is possible certain emails are not available. If the email is not available for your specific influencer, you can try finding it on Linkedin, sending them a DM, or if they have a newsletter — sign up and use the email that the first email was sent from. Genius right? Happy outreaching!
