Composing Outreach Emails
Feature Purpose
Once you have approved or recommended influencers, you can begin the outreach process to align on deliverables and timelines. Sending the first outreach email is a great way to gauge their interest with the opportunity, while following up with contracts, a creative brief and a campaign schedule. To ensure the rest of the communication between you and the influencer goes smoothly, let's pinpoint a few key items that will make the back and forth a breeze.
Step-by-Step Process
- After logging in, you will land on your campaign list page
- Click on the campaign where you would like to start your outreach
- Click on Influencers in the sub-navigation
- If you haven't already approved or recommended influencers, you can do so by following these steps.
- Click on the influencer within the list that you would like to contact, or click on the Group Message button in the upper right corner of the screen
- With either option, the influencer's email may or may not automatically populate, this depends on whether the influencer provides it publicly.
- If it is not available automatically, you can add their email directly in the "Email To" field, or you can add it to their profile on the bottom left of the screen by clicking the ⊕ icon.
- Fill out the rest of the fields as you would just like a regular email and when you're ready, click the Send Proposal button in the bottom right of the composer.
- On the right side of the screen, you can toggle between Content Agreement and Notes which will only be visible to you.
- You can use these tools to keep track of updates in notes and indicate content variations and budget calculations in the Content Agreement tab.
- Finally, once the influencer has agreed to proceed with your proposal, you can use the Agreement dropdown in the upper right corner to indicate whether they are Accepted or Rejected.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I attach an NDA in the first step of outreach?
You absolutely can, you can attach NDAs, contracts or any other documents by using our DocuSign or Google Docs integration. Signatures can be requested through either app by providing them access to the specific document and outlining where signatures are needed. We do recommend sending a message along with the NDA agreement if this is the initial outreach, since the NDA will be sent separately.
Can I save templates to reuse for all my outreach emails?
Great question! Our team is actively working to include templates for documents within the app, separate to using our 3rd party integrations. Currently, after you send your first email, you will see a lightbulb icon in the upper menu of the composer field. This is where you can create a Creative Brief, or a template to reuse for future outreach emails. Simply click "New Creative Brief" and then "Save as Template" in the upper right corner to save for future cases.
